Steamer Glendy Burke, red oval and "WAY 1" handstamps at center, on folded letter franked by Scott #10 full margins to in and barely tied by bold 7-bar grid cancel, addressed to Wall & deSaulles of New Orleans, datelined "St. Joseph Nov. 19 '51", business contents regarding the sale of cotton and reads "I rec'd your favor of 15th advising me of sale of 25 bales cotton and containing acct. sales of same. I ship by Steam G. Burke thirty seven more which you can dispose of so soon as a good opportunity presents. We have had some bad weather which influenced the crops some, but not enough to materially effect the quantity raised on this portion of the county. Hoping these may still be a good demand.
